By placing an order with Final Draft Resumes, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing our services.

1. Our Services

Final Draft Resumes provides professional resume writing and career document services. We will work with you to create customized documents that reflect your unique background and career goals.

 

2. Payment

Payment must be received in full before we begin working on your project. We accept payment through our website checkout process.

 

3. The Consultation Process

We do not begin work on new projects until your consultation has been completed. During your consultation, you must be prepared to discuss:

  • Your career background and work history

  • Your education and qualifications

  • Specific projects, initiatives, and contributions you've made

  • Your career objectives and target roles

  • Any other relevant details about your professional experience

 

The level of detail you provide directly impacts the quality of your final documents. Please come prepared to discuss these topics in sufficient depth for us to deliver the best possible service.

 

4. Turnaround Times

First Drafts: Our standard turnaround time is seven business days from the completion of your consultation (not from your order date).

Revisions: Typically completed within two to four business days from when you submit your feedback.

Important: We strongly recommend engaging our services at least 14 business days before any application deadlines. Each client's needs are unique, and the time required to perfect your documents varies. We cannot be held responsible for missed application deadlines.

 

Review Period: After receiving your first draft, you have two weeks to review and provide feedback. If we don't hear from you within this timeframe, we will consider your service complete.

 

5. Revisions and Our Commitment

We offer up to two rounds of revisions to ensure you're satisfied with your documents. Our goal is to create materials that meet your needs while following current industry best practices.

If you don't receive interview requests: We stand behind our work. If you apply to positions you're qualified for and don't receive any interview requests, contact us and we will rewrite your resume at no additional charge.

Please note: We cannot guarantee specific employment outcomes, job offers, or interview rates. Many factors affecting job search success are beyond our control, including market conditions, competition, and hiring decisions.

 

6. Professional Standards

Our writers are trained in current industry standards, best practices, and effective keyword usage. While we value your input and preferences, significantly deviating from our professional recommendations may reduce the effectiveness of your documents.

 

7. Delivery Format

Your documents will be provided in both PDF and Microsoft Word formats.

Compatibility: While we strive to ensure compatibility, we cannot be responsible for issues specific to your computer setup. We will do our best to help resolve technical problems and may provide alternative formats when possible. However, IT support is outside our area of expertise, and you may need to seek professional technical assistance at your own expense.

 

Formats we do not provide: We do not create documents in Apple Pages or other formats besides Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and/or PDF.

 

8. LinkedIn Profile Optimization

Our LinkedIn service includes a comprehensive document with written content for all relevant profile sections. You can easily copy and paste this content into your LinkedIn profile.

 

Important: For security and confidentiality reasons, we do not log in to or directly update client profiles. You maintain complete control over your LinkedIn account.

 

9. Refunds and Cancellations

Resume writing is a personalized, time-intensive service. There is no trial period or grace period after purchase.

 

No refunds will be issued:

  • After your interview has taken place

  • For missed application deadlines

  • When you choose not to follow our professional recommendations

 

Refunds may be considered:

  • Only for requests made between your purchase date and your scheduled interview

10. Privacy and Confidentiality

We take your privacy seriously. Here's how we handle your information:

  • We collect personal information only as necessary to provide our services

  • Your information remains confidential and is never shared with third parties

  • We use AI tools solely for note-taking purposes during interviews

  • All client information is handled in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws

 

11. Communication

We communicate with clients primarily through email and phone. Please check your spam/junk folder regularly, as emails from your writer may occasionally be filtered there.

 

12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

We value your feedback. If you have a complaint, please submit it to us in writing. We aim to respond to all complaints within 24 hours.

If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, we are open to arbitration by a mutually agreed-upon independent third party.

 

13. Limitation of Liability

We strive to provide excellent service, but we cannot guarantee our website or services will be completely error-free or uninterrupted.

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Final Draft Resumes, our employees, officers, and agents will not be liable for any damages (direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive) arising from your use of our website or services, even if we've been advised such damages are possible.

 

14. Intellectual Property

All content on our website—including design, graphics, text, software, and source code—is owned by Final Draft Resumes or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

 

You may:

  • View, copy, and print pages from our website solely to evaluate our services or place an order

 

You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or use our website content for any other purpose without our written permission

 

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.

 

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

 

17. Agreement to Terms

By completing your purchase through our website checkout process, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
